“In my 25 years in this industry, I’ve seen incredible talent go nowhere, not because they weren’t good enough, but because they didn’t have the right guidance. That’s the reality. The fashion world is tight, competitive, and it doesn’t wait around for you to figure it out. Most of what actually matters, you’re expected to learn on the job, and if you’re a model in Australia, that can take years of trial and error, along with missed opportunities. You don’t need to do it the hard way. Spend one session with me and I’ll fast-track what would normally take years to learn properly, without wasting your time or money.”

TESTIMONIAL

I took the trip to meet with Natalie for model mentoring, and it was genuinely life-changing. As someone new to modelling, I wanted guidance from someone who truly understands the industry from every angle, and Natalie does. Given her background as a model, magazine owner, and former fashion label owner, I knew I could trust her experience and perspective.

What makes Natalie so special is the way she teaches. Her feedback is delivered in this almost magical way, honest, clear, and constructive, but always encouraging. You can feel how deeply she cares about helping models grow. Her posing techniques were a complete game-changer for my modelling career; the way she explains movement, shapes, and presence shifted everything for me.

I walked away feeling empowered, educated, and incredibly grateful for her wisdom, kindness, and belief she has in the people she mentors.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • This is written for everyone who wants to be the best model they can be, the aspiring model who has never been on set, the working model who has plateaued and cannot figure out why. The person who thinks they are too old, too big or different. The parent who is supporting their child through their first agency meetings. The model who has been doing this for years and needs a reset.

The industry is changing at a rapid pace, and mature models are making their mark on international stages. Shorter models are commanding runways and diverse bodies, faces, and stories are being celebrated in campaigns that once had room for only one narrow type. You do not have to look like everyone else. In fact, as you will come to understand, looking like everyone else might be the one thing holding you back.

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or email me hello@nataliewakeling.com I will walk you through the next steps with a phone call to discuss if Im the right fit for you, and answer any questions along the way.

  • What sets me apart isn’t just experience, it’s the range and how you use it.

Most mentors come from one lane. They’ve modelled, coached, or worked behind the scenes. I have worked all, not in theory but in real life, with real pressure.

I don’t just teach posing or presence. I direct. You can walk into a room, read a model in seconds, and adjust it in a way that actually translates on camera. That’s a very specific skill and it’s rare. Especially in the curve space, where nuance matters and most people are still guessing.

Then there’s my lived experience. I have been the model, the designer, the business owner, and a mother building a life alongside it all. I’m not giving textbook advice, I’m giving insight that’s been tested, refined, and proven in the real world. I understand the industry from every angle: how a brand thinks, what a photographer needs, what sells, and what actually builds a career.

And here’s the honest part: a lot of mentors teach information. I teach discernment, I know what matters, what doesn’t, and how to cut through the noise quickly. That’s what saves people years.
